Silence the beeping

Press [*] to silence the beeps.

For wireless fire or CO devices with a low battery or tamper, the beeping comes back after 4 hours if the problem is still there.

See what the trouble is

  1. Press [*][2] and follow the screen to see each trouble.

  2. While you’re viewing troubles, the Trouble light flashes once for level 1, twice for level 2, and so on.

If the Trouble light flashes on its own, the keypad’s own battery is low.

What each trouble means

AC power failure

The panel lost power and is running on its battery for several hours. Call us.

Low battery

The panel, a wireless device or a keypad battery is low. Call us. Wireless device batteries can be replaced as the device’s instructions say.

Communication failure

The alarm can’t reach the monitoring station by phone line, cellular or internet. Call us: your alarm may not be monitored.

Zone tamper or device fault

A sensor or device has been tampered with or has failed. Call us.

Time and date

The clock needs setting, usually after a power loss. See the steps below.

If a trouble stops you arming the system, call us.

Set the time and date

  1. With the system disarmed, press [*][6] and enter the Master code.

  2. Choose Time and Date (01).

  3. Enter the time and date as HH:MM MM/DD/YY.

  4. Press [*] to save.
