Locked out of your camera recorder or access control system?

For property owners, property managers and building operators. Applies to any camera or access control brand.

The quick answer

In short

Don’t keep guessing: many systems lock you out after too many tries. Call us. We’ll confirm you own or manage the system, then regain access the safe way, often without losing your recordings or settings.

We’ll do it for you

Locked out? Call us. We confirm you own or manage the system first, then regain access.

Before you start

Works with: Any camera recorder or access control system

Who it’s for: Property owners, property managers and building operators

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Why we check ownership

Your cameras and doors protect the building. If anyone could get the password by asking, so could a thief. Checking first keeps your system safe. For security, we never publish default passwords, installer codes or reset steps. If you’re locked out, call us: we confirm you own or manage the system first, then regain access the safe way.

What to have ready

  • Proof that you own or manage the building.
  • The system brand and model, from the label or the screen.
  • Any paperwork or logins you do have from the old installer.

If the old installer won’t help

We take over systems installed by other companies, and regain admin access to systems you own. See system rescue, the system takeover checklist and switching security companies.

Afterwards

We set up a named account for each person, give the owner full admin access, and hand over the documentation, as we do on every project.

Locked out?

We’ll confirm ownership, regain access and hand the admin login to you.

Request help

Stuck with a system nobody will fix?

We repair and take over cameras, access control, intercoms and alarms installed by other companies, when your current provider has fallen short.

Questions

Will I lose my recordings?

Usually not, but it depends on the system. Ask us before anyone tries anything.

The old installer won’t give us the password. What now?

We regain admin access to systems you own, and set it up so you hold the admin login from then on.

Can you do this remotely?

Sometimes. It depends on the system; often someone needs to be on site.
