Panduit cabling and racks in Alberta and BC

Hightower designs and installs Panduit cabling, connectivity, racks and cable management end to end for commercial buildings and comms rooms, from Edmonton, Calgary and Red Deer to Kelowna, Vancouver and Victoria.

About Panduit

Panduit makes the physical side of the network: solid copper and fibre cabling, Mini-Com jacks and faceplates, patch panels, cable management, racks and cabinets, power distribution, labels and cable ties. It covers everything from the outlet at the desk to the racks in the comms room.

What we install from Panduit

Copper and fibre cabling

Category 6 and 6A copper and fibre runs, terminated on Panduit jacks and panels.

Mini-Com jacks and faceplates

Modular outlets for desks, walls, ceilings and camera locations, colour-coded by system.

Racks, cabinets and cable management

Wall-mount cabinets for small comms closets and floor racks for larger rooms, with managers that keep patch cords tidy.

Labels and identification

Printed labels on every outlet, panel port and cable, matched to the drawings.

Planning a Panduit comms room

Start with what the room has to hold: patch panels, switches, recorders, access controllers and alarm panels, with room to grow. A small building may only need a wall-mount cabinet; larger sites need floor racks, vertical and horizontal cable managers, and a clear split between network and security equipment. We plan power, cooling and battery backup at the same time, so cameras and doors keep running through short power outages.

Cleaning up an existing comms room

Tangled patch cords, unlabelled panels and equipment stacked on the floor make every fault slower to find. We re-terminate onto new panels where needed, dress the cable into managers, label every port, test the runs and leave a drawing of the room.

Panduit, fully supported end to end

One team handles your Panduit system from the first plan to years of service.

We plan the comms room and pathways, install racks or cabinets, pull, terminate and label every run, and hand over documentation. After the install we handle moves, adds and repairs.

Panduit questions

What is Panduit Mini-Com?

Mini-Com is Panduit’s line of modular jacks, faceplates and surface boxes. The jacks snap into faceplates and patch panels and come in colours, so you can tell network, camera and access control outlets apart.

Do you install racks and cabinets?

Yes. We install wall-mount cabinets and floor racks, cable managers, shelves and power distribution, and plan the layout so security and network equipment are easy to reach.

Is Panduit cable solid copper?

Panduit’s category copper cable uses solid copper conductors. We buy through established distributors and check the jacket markings, so no copper-clad aluminum (CCA) cable is installed. Read our CCA cable alert.

Can you clean up our existing comms room?

Yes. We re-terminate, dress and label the cabling, test the runs and leave a drawing of the room, so the next fault is quick to find.

Can you get a Panduit system warranty?

Panduit offers system warranties through its own installer program, with its own requirements. If your project calls for one, tell us and we’ll confirm what applies before we quote.

Do you install Panduit in Edmonton, Calgary and across BC?

Yes. We install and support Panduit cabling and racks across Alberta, including Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Lethbridge, and in BC, including Kelowna, Penticton, Vancouver and Victoria.
