Choosing the right Qolsys setup
Qolsys suits shops, offices, clinics and other smaller commercial spaces, where wireless sensors save opening finished walls and ceilings. PowerG is designed for long range, so it often reaches back rooms, mezzanines and outbuildings, and we test the signal at every sensor before we leave. For a large multi-tenant building with many wired zones, we may recommend a wired panel instead and explain why.
Moving an older alarm to Qolsys
Where an older panel has failed or its communicator has gone out of service, a Qolsys panel can often go in its place. Some older wireless sensors can be learned in through a legacy radio, and wired zones can be kept with a wired-to-wireless module, so not every sensor has to be replaced. We survey the existing sensors first and tell you what can stay.

Do Qolsys panels work with DSC PowerG sensors?
Yes. Qolsys IQ panels use PowerG, the same encrypted wireless technology DSC uses, so PowerG sensors can be enrolled on a Qolsys panel. We confirm each model during design.
Is Qolsys a good fit for commercial buildings?
For shops, offices, clinics and other smaller commercial spaces, yes. For large buildings with many wired zones or tenants, a wired panel from DSC, Bosch or Resideo may suit better. We recommend what fits the building.
Can we arm and disarm from our phones?
Yes. Qolsys panels connect to Alarm.com, so authorised users can arm, disarm, get alerts and manage user codes from the app.
Can Qolsys send temperature alerts for coolers and freezers?
