Choosing the right Resideo setup
Start with the building. A single shop or office often suits a ProSeries panel with wireless sensors, while a multi-tenant or larger building usually needs a VISTA panel with wired zones and partitions, so each tenant arms and disarms only their own space. Then plan the sensors door by door, the keypads at each entrance, and how the panel reaches the monitoring centre. We recommend a cellular communicator so alarms still get through if the internet goes down.
Taking over an existing Honeywell alarm
Plenty of Alberta and BC buildings already have a Honeywell VISTA panel on the wall. We check the panel, sensors and communicator, replace what’s failing, and move monitoring to our monitoring partner if you’re changing companies. If the installer code is locked and the old company won’t help, we plan the reset and reprogramming for a panel you own, recording the zones and settings first.

Are Resideo and Honeywell Home the same company?
Resideo is the company that makes Honeywell Home security products, including the VISTA and ProSeries alarm panels. Many older panels in Alberta and BC buildings simply say Honeywell.
Can you work on our existing Honeywell VISTA panel?
Yes. We service, repair and expand VISTA panels, replace failing sensors and keypads, and upgrade old phone-line communicators to cellular.
Is a VISTA panel right for a multi-tenant building?
Often, yes. Larger VISTA models such as the VISTA-128BPT and VISTA-250BPT support partitions, so each tenant or area can arm and disarm on its own with its own codes.
Can we arm and disarm from our phones?
Yes. Resideo’s Total Connect lets authorised users arm, disarm and get alerts from their phone, with each user’s access set by the account owner.
Can a Resideo alarm send temperature alerts?
